The current unemployment rate affecting young Italians aged 15-24 is alarming. In an historical moment in which national and European interventions to support employment and the approach of young people to the labor market increase more and more, it is essential to reflect on what are the right levers for change in order to use policies able to give space to our children’s resources and transform the crisis into an opportunity for the future.

The period of profound transformation we are experiencing requires a reflection on which educational practices can help the new generations to face the future with determination and to encourage young people to active citizenship. In this context, the RINED Department of Education and Didactics is active with the study “Hope, trust and planning in the opinions of young Italians” since 2013.
